Description:

The Greenhouse Assistant is an hourly position for SUU students interested in learning about plant propagation and the management of greenhouse operations. This role provides hands-on experience in various aspects of greenhouse management and the opportunity to develop a personal project of interest

This internship is part of the Spring 2025 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Provide thoughtful responses in your application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and apply proper techniques for plant propagation, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control.
  • Assist with educational programs and tours at the greenhouse.
  • Develop and execute a personal project related to greenhouse management during the internship.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience or education in the agriculture industry is helpful but not required.
